While I hate it when blogs just rip news from other blogs, this is somewhat relevant:
Some "Hive" action (culled from BoingBoing) that uses peer technology to speedup downloads. From OpenCola developer Justin Chapaweske, described as "a 'swarming' parallel download tech" (go ahead call me a buffoon for not decoding that netspeak), it appears that it is software that speeds up downloads based on popularity. The problem I have with all those file sharing thingamajigs is I just see SECURITY HOLE staring me in the face, but I like the HiveThink idea of millions of computers sharing resources to make things work better.
